The short version

A website is the one piece of marketing every customer sees, so we build it to do a job: load in a blink, show up in Google and in AI search, and turn the people who arrive into calls, bookings, and inquiries. We hand-code every theme rather than reaching for a page builder, we start from your search data rather than a template, and when the site goes live we host it and keep it running, because a site nobody is looking after stops earning within a year.

What you get

Built by hand, from your search data up

Most small business websites are a theme somebody bought, a page builder on top of it, and thirty plugins holding the two together. They look fine on launch day and get slower every month. We do the opposite. Every site we build runs on a lightweight, version controlled theme of our own, the layout lives in code we wrote, and nothing loads on a page that the page does not use.

Before we design anything we pull your Search Console history and run one keyword analysis, so every page has a target and every page that already earns traffic is protected. Then the site is built on a staging copy, reviewed with you twice, and launched behind a written checklist.

  • ✓ Custom design for your brand, never a purchased template
  • ✓ Hand-coded WordPress theme, no page builders anywhere
  • ✓ Search-ready at launch: titles, schema, sitemap, analytics, Search Console
  • ✓ Your own photography, shot by us if you need it
  • ✓ Hosting, backups, updates, and a quarterly report after launch

Purpose Aligned: a rebuild that kept every ranking page

Purpose Aligned is a Denver nonprofit consulting firm whose website was one of its best sources of new clients, which made rebuilding it the riskiest kind of web project. The site had grown up on a page builder, the service pages were too thin to compete, and the easiest way to lose the traffic was to launch a prettier version of the same thing.

We started with their search data, built every page by hand on a staging copy, grew the service pages from about 700 words to 5,700 with every original sentence kept, and mapped every old address before go live. On launch day all 24 URLs in the old sitemap resolved with no dead ends, and the day after, every page carried its own title and description with analytics confirmed on the live domain. The site launched on 9 September 2026 with zero page builder assets left anywhere on it.

Classic Earthworks: a local services site built from zero

Classic Earthworks is an excavation and fire mitigation contractor working the Colorado mountain corridor from Evergreen to Black Hawk. They came to us with no website, no Google Business Profile, and no old addresses to protect, which is the cleanest possible starting point, and it changed how we planned the site.

Sixty keyword searches and twelve competitor domains told us the local field is nearly invisible in organic search and that the map pack decides who gets the call, so the site is built to feed the Business Profile as much as to rank on its own. Sixteen pages: a homepage, nine service pages written from the keyword data, four town pages, an about page, and a work gallery, each with a quote form and the phone number in reach on every screen. Search Console, Analytics, and the Business Profile were all created under the client's own account with us as manager, because those belong to the business, not the agency.

The site launches in fall 2026 and moves onto our care plan the day it goes live.

How a build runs

From your search data to launch day, and after

1

Analyze once

One pass through your Search Console history and a keyword run sets a target for every page and a list of rankings to protect. For a brand new site, it sets which pages exist at all.

2

Design

Homepage directions first, then the page shapes. You approve the design before a line of the build is written, and that approval is a real gate, not a formality.

3

Build on staging

Every template is hand-coded and shipped as a numbered version we can roll back. Nothing touches your live site until launch.

4

Review with you

A design walkthrough and a line by line copy review, with your changes applied and recorded before anything goes live.

5

Launch behind a gate

Redirects, analytics, forms, titles, and crawlability checked on the site itself, logged out, the way a visitor and a search engine see it.

We host every site we build, and we look after it

A website is not finished on launch day. WordPress and its plugins update every few weeks, security patches land without warning, and the search foundations that made the site rank need to be checked, not assumed. So we host every site we build on our own managed hosting, and every site is on a Website Care Plan from the day it goes live.

The plan covers hosting, daily backups, SSL, security monitoring, updates tested before they go on, the search and analytics connections kept healthy, and a set amount of our time each month for the changes that come up. Every quarter you get a two page report on how the site performed in Google, in Analytics, and on your Business Profile, written so that it can be read in two minutes, with a short list of what we would do next and whether it fits inside the plan.

Denver website development, built in-house

Drumm Media designs and builds custom WordPress and e-commerce websites from Denver, Colorado, for clients across the Front Range, the mountain corridor, Colorado Springs, and around the world. Our founder spent fifteen years shooting for outdoor, dive, and hospitality brands before starting the agency, which is why our website work leans toward the businesses we know from the inside: outfitters and guides, dive shops and training agencies, lodges, resorts and tourism boards, and the Colorado trades and professional services firms that serve them.

Everything is done by the same small senior team, from the keyword analysis to the last line of CSS. We do not hand the build to a page builder, a subcontractor, or an offshore shop, so the site you launch is the site we designed, and when something needs changing after launch the people who built it are the people who change it. Because we are photographers first, your site launches with imagery that looks like your business rather than a stock library, and if you do not have the photographs yet, we can shoot them.

If you already have a website that ranks, a redesign is where most businesses lose their traffic, and protecting it is a standard part of every rebuild we do: every existing address is mapped, every ranking page is on a preservation list, and the launch checklist is run on the live site before we call it done. If you are starting from nothing, we set up Search Console, Analytics, and your Google Business Profile under your own accounts on day one, so the business owns its data and the local search work starts while the site is still being built.

Website development is the foundation the rest of our work sits on. See how it fits with our SEO and AI search services and content marketing, or start with a free website audit and we will tell you plainly what your current site is costing you.

What clients say about their websites

Frequently asked

Website development questions, answered

How long does a website take to build?

Most small business websites take six to eight weeks from kickoff to launch. A rebuild of a site that already ranks, an e-commerce store, or a site with a lot of pages runs longer. You get a written timeline before we start, and the schedule includes your review time, because that is where most website projects slip.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, whether there is a store, the custom features, and how much of the content and photography you already have. Every project gets a fixed quote up front with the scope written down, so there are no surprises. The free audit is the fastest way to get a real number for your situation.

Do you build on WordPress?

Yes. We build hand-coded WordPress themes rather than using page builders, which keeps sites fast, light, and easy to maintain. For online stores we build on WooCommerce or Shopify, whichever fits your products and the way you work.

Can you redesign my site without losing my Google rankings?

Yes, and it is the part of a rebuild we take most seriously. We pull your Search Console history first, list every page and phrase that already earns traffic, map every existing address to its new home, and carry over titles, content, and schema. The Purpose Aligned rebuild launched with all 24 of its old addresses resolving correctly.

Do you host the website after launch?

Yes. We host and look after every site we build, on a Website Care Plan that starts the day the site goes live. It covers hosting, backups, SSL, security, tested updates, the search and analytics connections, a set amount of our time each month, and a quarterly report on how the site is doing.

Who owns the website?

You do. The client owns the website. Your domain, your content, your photographs, the theme we build for you, and your Google accounts are all yours, and we set up Search Console, Analytics, and your Business Profile under your own logins with us invited as a manager. We host the site and look after it on a care plan, and if we ever part ways, the site and everything in it go with you.

Can you build a web app or an internal tool, not just a website?

Yes. We have built browser based tools that a client marketing team uses every week, and the approach is the same as a website: work out the job the tool has to do, build it light, and make it something the team can open from a bookmark. If your team has a repetitive job that a small, well built tool would remove, tell us about it.

Will my website show up on Google and in AI search?

Every site we build launches search-ready: fast load times, clean structure, schema markup, titles and descriptions on every page, a submitted sitemap, and Search Console and Analytics connected. To keep growing from there and get cited by tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, pair the build with our SEO and AI search services.
